Minced Garlic

Mincing is merely finely chopped. Place the side of a chef's knife on the garlic clove and give it a quick whack with the palm of your hand. This loosens the skin and makes it easier to remove. Peel the skin off the clove and slice it. Cut across slices to make finely chopped pieces. Use a rocking motion of your chef's knife to continue to chop for minced garlic.
