We get many questions about the nutritional value of frozen fruits as fresh fruits are can be difficult of find depending on the season and geographical location. Good news comes from the researchers at the Instituto de Biotchnologia in Caxias do Sul, Brazil who conducted antioxidant assays on 23 samples of different fruits. They found that the nutritional composition, total polyphnols, total carotenoids and vitamin C levels in frozen fruits were considerable suggesting that frozen fruits can be positive contributors to the prevention of various diseases.
