Since the World's Healthiest Foods features foods that are not only nutrient-rich but are also very diverse, we have designed each Meal Planner so that it presents four different days' worth of meals. Two of these daily options feature the delicious and simple-to-prepare recipes showcased on our website, while the other two feature ways to combine foods to create interesting and satisfying meals. Our aim in designing these Meal Planners was not only to give you varied options, but also to help spark your imagination as to creative ways to mix and match the recipes and the foods to create deliciously satisfying meals.
The Meal Planners are designed to meet the nutritional needs of 25-50 year-old women, and their accompanying nutritional profiles reflect percentages based upon the recommended Daily Value (DV) for this gender/age group (except for the Prostate Cancer and Recurrent Otitis Media Meal Planners which, respectively, were designed to meet the nutritional needs of 25-50 year-old males and 4-6 year-old children). These Menu Planners are templates and, of course, can be adjusted to meet your personal dietary needs. In addition to total calories, calories from fat, dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, the accompanying nutritional profiles display information on the nutrients most needed for the specific health condition of interest. In addition to providing a concentrated amount of target nutrients, these daily meals also provide an adequate supply of all recommended DV nutrients.
