Before you submit your question, we ask you to please read the following:
Please note that we are unable to answer nutrition questions related to medical conditions. While we do have some general write-ups on diet and health conditions on our website that may provide you with the information you are seeking, beyond that we are unable to provide you with information related to nutrition and your personal health needs. For health-condition types of questions, we suggest consulting with a licensed health-care practitioner who is experienced in whole foods nutrition (potentially your primary-care doctor and/or a dietitian, nutritionist, or naturopathic physician). These individuals are better qualified to serve you as they will be familiar with your personal clinical information including history, lab work, and current dietary strengths and weaknesses.
We are also unable to answer questions about dietary supplements since our website focuses on the Healthiest Way of Eating and Cooking. For example, if you are looking for recommendations on supplements or wondering about forms of nutrients used in these products, we suggest asking these questions of a licensed health-care practitioner who has experience working with natural medicine and dietary supplements.
You may notice that some of your favorite foods are not listed in our A-Z list of the World's Healthiest Foods and be curious as to why. For example, many Readers write in wondering why pomegranates, chia seeds, peaches, cherries, artichokes, and other whole foods are not featured on our website. We want to let you know that just because a whole food is not featured on WHFoods doesn't mean that it can.t play a role in a Healthiest Way of Eating and Cooking. Chances are it was not included when we created the list because it was not as widely available as the others that we chose to feature. If you would like to find nutrient information for foods not featured on our website, we would suggest using the free USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, which features nutritional profiles on thousands of foods.
