We are not aware of any evidence to suggest that soaking in vinegar water or salt solution will provide any added benefit for removing pesticide residues compared to a thorough washing under running water. In fact, soaking leafy greens can reduce the water soluble nutrients in these plant foods. We do recommend that you peel produce (such as cucumbers and apples) if they are not organic.
