Is there any health or diet difference from drinking sparkling mineral water verses cold tap water?

Sparkling water is basically water with added carbonation. You should be aware that some bottled sparkling waters have added sodium, which would not be necessary unless you are replacing lost sodium after endurance exercise. Some people experience burping after sparkling water, which is due to the carbonation. Otherwise, we are not aware of any negative effects from adding sparkling water to your diet.
