Does decaffeinated tea carry the same health benefits as the same tea before being decaffeinated?

Yes, decaffeinated green tea will still provide some important health benefits enjoyed by regular green tea. However, you should be aware that the most commonly available decaffeinated teas are not "naturally decaffeinated". They are made using a chemical solvent called ethyl acetate to remove the caffeine. During the process of caffeine removal, some of the healthy nutrients (i.e., catechins) are also removed from the green tea.
