Cabbage Casserole


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 Tbs chicken broth powder
  • 1 lbs minced meat
  • 1 small box tomato paste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:


  • cut the cabbage into small pieces
  • slice the carrots
  • fry the carrots and cabbage in a little oil
  • add the chicken broth powder and 1/2 cup of water
  • cook on low heat until the cabbage changes color
    Meanwhile
  • Chop the onion and fry it in a separate pot until it's soft and golden
  • add the meat and cook it until the pink is gone
  • add the tomato paste and 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • mix well and cook at low heat for 10 min
  •  
  • when done, mix vegetables and meat together and serve


    Note: We would recommend sauteing the onions in broth rather than oil because the heating of oils has been found to create unhealthy free radicals.
