Marinade for fish, meat or poultry

From Angela:

I use this marinade for just about everything I cook, including all roasts and turkey for Thanksgiving day. I have even put it in jars and given it to co-workers. I hope you enjoy this recipe.

For 4 pieces of fish, poultry, steak, or even pork:

  1. Mash the garlic until it is in tiny bits
  2. add the oregano and pepper to the garlic as you are mashing the garlic all the ingredients should become moist. Once all the ingredients have been mashed and mixed together add:
  3. 1/2 cup of teriyaki sauce to the ingredients
  4. 1/4 cup of capers along with the juice from the capers to all the ingredients
  5. stir everything together
  6. Take the raw onion rings and spread them over the fish, or meat of choice, making sure all the fish is being covered by the onions.
  7. Pour the marinate over the fish, turning the fish several time.
  8. Let it sit for a day in a stored container, so that the spices can soak into the fish.
To cook in a skillet:
  1. 1 tablespoon of olive oil (make sure the oil is hot when placing the fish in the skillet)
  2. place the fish into the skillet, and cook until it is done (the fish, meat, chicken, or pork, will vary in cooking time)
