Visitor Questions
Q I would like to know if you would get the benefits of both milk and tea when you drink tea with milk.

The research here is not consistent as some studies suggest that drinking milk with tea may lower, but not completely inhibit the antioxidant activity of tea, while other studies show no negative effect of milk on the antioxidant activity of tea. An important reminder is to not worry so much about whether you should or shouldn't combine certain foods. A wide variety of nutrient interactions are possible with many different food combinations; however, if you are eating a healthy, whole foods diet that is rich in plant foods on a consistent basis then you will be receiving an ample intake of essential nutrients and antioxidants. If you enjoy milk in your tea, then enjoy it that way occasionally.
