The information on our website comes from review of numerous scientific studies on the individual foods conducted by our in-house Ph.D. Our nutritional analysis of the foods comes from ESHA Research, a reliable and reputable company that specializes in nutrient research. From the ESHA database we try to select information that was derived from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Nutrient Database, whenever possible. The majority of the nutritional data on the website is from the USDA. You can find their website at
