Green Beans with Cumin and Mustard

You can enjoy this recipe as a snack or as a side dish. The use of tumeric, mustard and cumin along with fresh the fresh vegetables makes this a very nutritious dish.



  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add oil and mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them crackle for 1-2 min.
  3. Add tumeric and green beans and stir for a minute. Add salt and stir.
  4. Add 3-4 tbsp water or chicken broth as required just to cook the beans.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook the green beans for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Remove to a serving dish and sprinkle with coconut flakes.
